THIS ROLE is definitely for an entrepreneurial hands-on Manager who is happy to role up their sleeves and get stuck in with the nitty-gritty of running a division as well as managing the Birmingham office as a whole – this is not a role for ivory tower managers.
This office supplies personnel to the Finance, HR and Supply Chain sectors. Your role will be to develop the Accounting & Finance division whilst overseeing the Birmingham teams. The Birmingham office is established but a move forward in securing a firmer foothold in the Midlands is required so will call upon your expert sales skills.
With few restrictions in terms of geographic territory a car driver is essential and therefore a car or allowance will be given to you – the choice is yours which to take. Birmingham’s geographic coverage is wide, spreading out across to the East Coast from the Midlands and into the south from your Birmingham base you will not find limitations in business development, you can link up via networking with this divisions five other UK offices and utilise the internal computerised systems.
Your general day-to-day duties will include sales / client development and delivery as well as managing and motivating your team, you will work closely with the Finance Temps Consultant and have a personal target of £8k pm.
YOU will have full responsibility for the P & L and the delivery of bottom line profit and as time moves on, increasing the headcount will also be a necessary requirement with members of the current team potentially taking on a mentoring role.
BASIC £30k - £50k + comm. + company car or car allowance.

My client is very entrepreneurial, demanding yet refreshingly non-hierarchical and whilst they are ultimately interested in results as all companies are they do not micro-manage empowering their staff to achieve their maximum potential.

The Birmingham team is well established, all have been in the business for a number of years but just need a credible manager to lead them. The senior management team is supportive but not dictatorial and the culture is very much about treating its staff as adults. There is a free reign for you to deliver your budget, they don’t want a manager who constantly asks for assistance but a manager who can think on his/her feet and utilise their expertise. |

1. Local knowledge and experience of the Midlands Finance market
2. Able to work on your own initiative
3. Innovative – able to think ‘out of the box’ - an ideas person who can roll out ideas
4. Good supervisory / man- management skills
5. Experienced in both Permanent and Temporary recruitment
6. Able to develop business through proactive sales.
7. A manager who can remain focused despite adversity !
