Title: Business Development Consultant
Location: Manchester or London
Reporting to: Head of Permanent Recruitment Division
Salary: £35,000 (including excellent basic salary, car allowance and open ended; highly geared commission scheme)
Company Information:
Our client was formed in 1996 to specialise in the provision of Technical Contract Staff within the Networking and Communications industry. The Company has experienced massive growth in the last 7 years and now turns over around £10,000000. Mainly supplying Blue Chip Companies with Contract recruitment solutions. They have Offices in Manchester and London.
In the last few years they have successfully diversified from their flagship Networking and Communications core business, into other sectors. These include IT Systems and Development, Rail, Engineering and Training. They now want to grow the Permanent recruitment arm of the business.
They have a strong customer service ethos and they development long-term relationships with Clients and Candidates.
Role:
To drive forward Permanent recruitment sales forward through effective business development, both over the telephone and ‘face to face’. Selling Search and Selection services on a retained, sole and contingent basis. Most importantly, providing the best recruitment solution for each Client’s specific requirement, in a consultative style. There is a massive emphasis on quality of service.
Principle Responsibilities:
To deliver full life cycle Permanent recruitment solutions; from identifying Clients and providing Consultancy on Recruitment solutions, to managing the assignment and Search and Selection of Candidates to agreed Client expectations. The main focus of this role will be on influencing Clients to use our Permanent recruitment services, preferably on an exclusive basis. Assistance will be provided in Search and Selecting candidates from Internal Recruiters.
Key tasks will include:
- Initiating and arranging well qualified Client meetings
- Providing Recruitment Consultancy to Clients
- Presenting to Clients
- Gaining commitment from Clients to partner with us on an exclusive basis
- Delivering solutions to Client expectations

Requisite Experience/ Qualifications:
- Proven sales record of a minimum of three years business to business sales, in a highly - competitive environment
- A minimum of 2 Years experience of Recruitment Consultancy
- Must have experience of initiating sales, not order taking
A degree is not essential, but the successful candidates will be dealing with senior managers, and therefore, a good educational background will be a prerequisite.
Additional:
Must have a clean Driving license
