Title: EXPERIENCED TEAM LEADER OR BRANCH MANAGER – SOCIAL WORK RECRUITMENT

This niche market player specialising in placing QUALIFIED SOCIAL WORKERS needs a manager with drive & determination to open & develop an office in either Birmingham, Leeds, Northampton, Manchester or Leicester. There is potentially a database of clients and candidates that can be utilised to spring board the new office which has been utilised already in the East Midlands but under utilised. This role is also open to senior level managers who in the future aspire to have an equity stake in the business. This company networks with local Universities with the aim of attracting newly qualified Social Workers ahead of their competition but 70% of your role will be proactive development of new clients and the remaining 30% tendering for contracts and securing a place of PSLs The salary is dependant on your level – Basic from £28 - £40k + company car + comm. + bens. Skills: 1. A Manager ideally experienced within the Social Work arena (there could be an option to introduce Social Care into the branch or a Social Care Manager who has a good understanding of the Social Work Sector) 2. Commercially aware people who are professional but don’t want to work in a strict corporate style, wanting to utilise their entrepreneurial skills. 3. A car driver - must be mobile as you will be recruiting from a wide geographic area dependant where the office is, you’ll be meeting candidates both on & off site. 4. Self starters with lots of drive & ambition. 5. Target focused, goal orientated. 6. Proactive people with an ambition be part of a business & influential in its growth. 7. Able to work with a minimum of supervision – keen to take on the responsibility without the need for micro-management – the director is London based and will not watch over you – visiting the offices 2 or 3 times a month. 8. Someone used to cold calling - driving the business forward through proactive calling as well as managed contracts. 9. Someone experienced of tendering & handling contracts. 10. Knowledgeable of the market or able blag their - able to get around PSLs 11. Able to market into companies where not an approved supplier 12. Someone with excellent presentation skills. 13. Someone who knows how the PUBLIC SECTOR market works. They don’t want a manager who attacks it with a cold, hard brash approach but a relationship builder. 14. Someone who can work their way around a locked PSL – the candidate is king & it’s a candidate driven market – if you have a QSW there are ways of getting around / under/ threw objections.
