| POSITION OVERVIEW
My client is a well established and extremely successful niche player within the IT recruitment arena who wants to strengthen its presence in the UK I.T. recruitment market by building a successful new sales team.
This key individual will currently be a UK contract Team Leader looking for an opportunity to step up or an established manager looking for a new challenge. You will be responsible for recruiting and training a successful & effective sales force which will grow in line with business plans (which will require your input).
Reporting to the Operations Director you will be supported by a central administration function. It is anticipated that there will be up to 6 direct reports recruited by the end of 2006.
BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE
1. The person selected for this role will have proven experience in the management and leadership of an sales force, this is likely to be inexperienced trainees or junior recruitment consultants. Therefore strong coaching skills are a prerequisite for the position.
2. Additionally, the successful candidate should have experience of selling IT contract services to new customers within the market place.
3. Ideally you should also have a track record of introducing new initiatives, managing costs, budgeting, developing forecasts, improving margins and increasing revenues.
4. This person needs to enjoy a culture that encourages independence and creativity and be effective in working with an executive management team that reaches decisions through direct and open debate.
OBJECTIVES OF THE ROLE
1. To obtain first time internal recruitment.
2. To maximise billing opportunity by introducing new customers.
3. To exceed all targets ( personal & team)
4. To ensure that customer retention statistics are achieved.
5. To ensure that you are these companies first point of call when recruiting permanent & contract staff
6. To adhere to standards of attendance, timekeeping, productivity, reliability and call activity by personal achievement.
7. To be involved in the evolution of the team through strategic input
8. To keep fully up to date in knowledge and understanding of emerging technologies.
9. Create framework for excellent working practices for staff
10. Positively contribute to the creation of sales Literature
PERSON SPECIFICATION
1. Strong communication skills – oral, written, social events. Must also be confident in presenting at executive level
2. Able to positively challenge status quo

7. Open and enthusiastic attitude
8. Able to accommodate occasional overnight stays for corporate events during evenings and weekends.
9. Clean Driving license
PACKAGE
A basis salary up to £45k + car allowance + comm./bonus + equity & potential directorship
